Suprenand, pronounced, (Sue – pray – nond) comes from a French word describing something that is surprising, stunning or startling. As in life, the enchanting images of Nature captured on film are often all of these. Nature has a way of expressing itself with amazing imagery.
As a biologist, photographing the intrinsic beauty of the world around me is as much an art, as it is a science. I have received education in Australia, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Colorado, Florida, and Iceland. After gaining many world-wide perspectives, traveling around our Earth seems to be a wonderful way in which to understand my place within it.
As an artist I have worked with many mediums over the years, but photography, for me, is one of the purest forms of art. Sharing my adventures through photography, while working on projects for conservation, is a perfect way to capture and share our world's wonders.
The photography exhibited in these galleries is a collection of my travels and adventures over the last three years. Life can be found everywhere; however, sometimes it is up to you to look.
I hope that you enjoy!
